We are seeking a skilled and dependable GIS / SQL / Visual Basic Programmer to develop, maintain, and improve applications that support mapping, data management, reporting, and business operations.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with GIS technology, relational databases, and existing Visual Basic applications. This position requires someone who can understand operational needs, troubleshoot problems, and develop practical technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain GIS applications, tools, maps, and automated workflows
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and reports
  • Maintain and enhance applications developed in Visual Basic, VB.NET, or VBA
  • Integrate GIS systems with SQL Server databases and other business applications
  • Create dashboards, reports, data exports, and visualization tools
  • Automate repetitive data-processing and reporting tasks
  • Diagnose application, database, and data-quality issues
  • Document applications, database structures, and technical procedures
  • Work with employees and managers to translate business needs into effective solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, or similar GIS platforms
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL skills
  • Experience programming in Visual Basic, VB.NET, or VBA
  • Understanding of relational databases, spatial data, and GIS data management
  • Experience connecting GIS applications to enterprise databases
  • Familiarity with APIs, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or C# is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, Power Automate, or reporting tools is beneficial
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
