Experienced Equipment Operator (Mining Operations)

We are seeking an experienced equipment operator to support safe, efficient mining operations. In this role, you will operate heavy equipment in a dynamic production environment, contribute to daily operational goals, and help maintain high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working as part of a team in an active site environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment used in mining and site support activities in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
- Support material movement, load handling, excavation, grading, and related production tasks as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and other team members to coordinate work safely.
- Identify and report equipment issues, hazards, or unusual site conditions promptly.
- Assist with routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and work areas.
- Maintain accurate records related to equipment use, inspections, and operational activities as required.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and respond flexibly to changing production priorities
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment in mining, quarry, construction, or a related industrial setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and situational awareness.
- Ability to follow instructions, policies, and operational procedures with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to work in an outdoor environment and perform tasks that may involve standing, climbing, and walking over uneven terrain.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and any site-specific certifications or authorizations required for equipment operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with mining site safety standards and production workflows.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience recognizing equipment performance concerns.
